Marketing Your Dental Office For The Holidays

The holidays are upon us, which, for your dental office, may mean the new few weeks will be quite slow. However, there are quite a few things you can do to increase revenue during these months. Marketing your dental practice during the holidays can be used to your advantage, and can boost patient loyalty in the process.

Holiday Marketing

  • Make a plan – The first thing you should do is sit down and create a schedule. Make note of all the holidays that are approaching (Christmas, Hanukah, New Years, etc.), and which procedures you’d like to promote during these times. Consulting with your staff on these decisions is also a good idea.
  • Be festive – This is the fun part – finding fun and interesting ways to incorporate the holidays into your dental practice! For example, you could send out a newsletter or email outlining the best and worst holiday treats for teeth, or how to keep up with your dental hygiene during a holiday vacation. Make sure your content is informative and relevant.
  • Make sure it’s relevant – Creativity is encouraged, but it’s important to make sure the content you use is still relevant to dental issues and procedures. For example, you can call a whitening treatment “Special Christmas Card Smile Brightener” or offer a buy-one-get-one-free dental cleaning and exam as a “Couples Cleaning.”
  • Use social media – Social media is a great way to bring patients into the office all year round, but especially during the holidays. You can feature a Christmas Countdown post, adding a different dental tip for each day. You can also interact with your patients with a post asking about their favorite Christmas gift, or their New Year’s resolution. This is a fun and simple way to grab your patients’ attention.
